Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella has lavished praise on teammate Cole Palmer, describing the 22-year-old England international as "special." Palmer's impressive performances since joining Chelsea from Manchester City in a £40 million deal have caught Cucurella's attention.
"Cole is very different," Cucurella told The Guardian. "If you see him not in his kit, you'd never think he's a footballer, but on the pitch, he's unstoppable." Palmer's unique playing style and goal-scoring ability have left Cucurella in awe. "He shoots, and it doesn't seem like he's hitting it hard, but he scores them all," he added.
Palmer's stats support Cucurella's praise. Last season, he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 33 Premier League games. This campaign, he has already netted six goals and registered five assists in seven league matches.
Cucurella believes Palmer has the potential to become one of the best players in the world. "If he carries on like this, he'll be among the best," he said. The Chelsea left-back jokingly noted that Palmer's only weakness might be his physical appearance, quipping, "There's not much strength in the hair, but if that's his only problem, then he's all right."
Palmer's rapid growth and impressive form have made him a key player for Chelsea, and Cucurella's endorsement underscores his teammate's exceptional talent.
