Randy Waldrum Confident in Super Falcons' Improved Form Ahead of Olympics

Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has expressed optimism about his team's chances at the 2024 Olympics, citing significant improvement since their 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup campaign.

The Super Falcons made a notable impact at the World Cup, reaching the Round of 16 and impressing against powerhouses Canada, Australia, and England. Since then, they have suffered only one defeat, demonstrating their growth and resilience.

Waldrum's side secured their Olympic spot by defeating arch-rivals South Africa. Now, they face a daunting group stage challenge against Brazil, Spain, and Japan in Paris.

Despite the tough opponents, Waldrum is confident in his team's preparedness. "I like what I have been seeing... The players are ready to go. We are in better condition than we were a year ago," he stated.

The American coach highlighted the team's continuous improvement since the World Cup. "The team has continued to improve... Hopefully, we will see that when we face Brazil, a very good side."

With their improved form and determination, the Super Falcons are poised to make a strong statement at the Olympics.
